Tanzania’s Diamond to thrill Meru fans this weekend
High-flying Bongo Flava artiste Diamond Platnumz is to perform in Meru on Saturday.
Diamond, born Naseeb Abdul Juma, is expected to land at Kariene Primary School at around 11am before being escorted by colleagues and fans to Meru Town.
He is to perform at the Meru National Polytechnic on Saturday night.
Other renowned artistes like Nameless (David Mathenge), a Meru super-hit maker Nasizzu Murume, Otile Brown, Koffi, Tetti, Single l, Natty Mwalimu and Mc Jalang’o are also slated to thrill their fans.
UNITE ARTISTES
The ‘Diamond Live Meru’ is organized by Watanashati Classic Entertainment in collaboration with Elex consultancy who aim to bring Meru together.
“The show will unite Meru singers. The region has for many years been said to lack artistes. We want to show the county and the world that despite being known for miraa farming, Meru is also a home to many artistes,” said Watanashati Classic Entertainment boss Kelvin Mundiga.
Diamond has won numerous awards the world over. He set a new record at the Tanzania Music Awards by winning seven awards in 2014.
