Teacher kills man who stopped him from beating his wife

A domestic row turned tragic when a peace activist was killed on Saturday night.

Gabriel Sakari, 34 died on the spot when he was shot in the chest with arrows as he attempted to separate a fighting couple in Kongoni, Lugari Sub-County.

“The peace activist was having drinks with friends when he was called to reconcile a man and his wife,” Mr Sakari’s cousin, Charles, said.

Witnesses said the suspect, identified as David Sang, a teacher at Mobet Primary, dashed to his house and emerged with arrows.

He escaped after killing the activist.

Angry villagers ransacked the man’s house and set his items on fire.
