Tecno opens new store at Garden City Mall in new expansion plan

Tecno one of the leading provider of cutting-edge mobile devices and accessories, is now expanding its outlets into malls to tap into the new market segment.

The eagerly anticipated Tecno Exclusive Store, located at the esteemed Garden City Mall, opened its doors to the public on Friday, June 23, 2023, marking a significant milestone for the company and the local community.

This is a shift from the traditional model where the phone targeted the mass markets with stores in the central business district.

The phone maker is looking to open ten service centres in the malls across the county in its plan for new investments.

Peter Shi, Brand Manager of Tecno Mobile Limited who was speaking during the company’s opening of the new store, said that the growing middle class in the country is driving up the uptake of premium high-end smartphones.

“We are delighted to bring our expertise and wide range of high-quality mobile devices to the vibrant community around the Garden City Mall and beyond,” said Shi,

“Our new exclusive store aims to be the go-to destination for customers seeking the latest innovations in mobile technology, coupled with excellent customer service and a personalized shopping experience.”

The increasing change in taste by customers in the country has been responsible for the shifting trends in technology uptake in Kenya.

This comes at a time that China’s largest smartphone makers have intensified their battle for the Kenyan market, eager for a slice of one of the hottest and fastest-growing device outlets in the region.

The high and midrange segment devices have been the best performing in the country.

Tecno says the exclusive Store is set to revolutionize the retail experience by offering a wide range of the latest smartphones, smartwatches, and accessories.

With its commitment to innovation, superior customer service, and a wide array of cutting-edge products, Tecno aims to set a new standard in the world of mobile technology retail in Nairobi.
