This groom is still missing hours to his wedding

Police in Nairobi are yet to get any leads on the whereabouts of a groom who went missing last week with only hours remaining to his wedding.

Central Deputy OCPD Kiprotich Beren told Nairobi News on Friday that investigations are ongoing to trace the phone numbers that were used to communicate to the family.

“The information has been passed to all stations countrywide and so far there has not been any development. The numbers used to communicate to the family are still off but we are in the process of obtaining the IMEI number that will be used to track,” he added.

Mr Kyalo was to marry his finace Ms Michelle Mwende this Saturday at the Wamunyu Baptist Church in Machakos county.

Wedding preparations at Kyalo’s home in Wamunyu, Machakos County have been suspended and the officiating pastor informed of the unfortunate incident.

The bride is still in agony as she seeks answers over what could have led to the disappearance of her fiancé.

According to Kyalo’s brother-in-law Joseph Ndivo, the wedding has been postponed indefinitely until the groom’s whereabouts are known.

Mr Kyalo was last seen on Wednesday last week while shopping with his wife to be in Ngara area.

He had told his fiancé and sister-in-law that he was going to River road to pick items and will meet them later.

Hours after he had left, his fiancé received a SMS message notifying her that he had been arrested. When she tried calling the number, it did not go through.

The family launched a man hunt in all police stations within the CBD and later reported the groom as a missing person.
