Counterfeit products pose a major challenge to manufacturers in Kenya with the loss estimated at between Sh 85 billion and Sh 100 billion annually, according to a report. This does not only reduce market potential but also casts doubts on the original merchandise.

As a way to curb the sale and purchase of counterfeits, the Tiktoker advised consumers to be keener about where they purchase their gadgets as many scammers are out to rip them off with cheap products. He advised that one should purchase such goods from recognized brands and retailers so as to get their money’s worth.
