Top Amapiano stars Murumba Pitch to tour Kenya
Murumba Pitch, the talented amapiano duo from South Africa, are set to take Kenya by storm with their highly anticipated performance at Nairobi’s Winning Post on 17 June 2023.
“Come and see the iconic hit maker duo perform live,” event organisers Platinum Events Kenya urge Nairobians to come and see the King of Amapiano live from South Africa.
The event, which has generated a lot of excitement, will be hosted by the charismatic Ben VIC as the Master of Ceremonies.
Fans have been rushing to secure their places at the event, with advance tickets priced at Sh1000 selling out in record time.
Murumba Pitch have gained widespread recognition for their exceptional talents in the Amapiano music genre. Their unique sound and infectious beats have taken the continent by storm and propelled them to the forefront of the music scene. The duo’s contributions have been instrumental in popularising Amapiano music and establishing its presence worldwide.
Led by Emmanuel Mathye, the group started out as a twelve-member band, but sadly the group was eventually disbanded. However, Emmanuel’s passion for music never wavered. His musical journey led him to work with Makhadzi, a renowned South African artist.
During this time, he met his musical counterpart, Innocent “Maeywon” Mongolo, also known as “Ino”.
Innocent, who hails from Mpumalanga, and Emmanuel, who represents Limpopo, bring a unique blend of R&B and smooth Amapiano productions to their performances.
Their spirited instrumentals combined with harmonious vocals create an unforgettable experience for their listeners.
The duo released their debut album ‘Last Man Standing’ in 2020, a challenging feat in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown. However, their resilience paid off when they were signed to the prestigious DEEDOTKO record label.
Born on the streets of Johannesburg in 2010, Amapiano has gained immense popularity worldwide. Emmanuel and Innocent share similar aspirations for their group, including more live performances, releasing new tracks and maintaining consistency in their musical careers.
