Treu names squad for Hong Kong, Tokyo series


Rugby sevens head coach Paul Treu unveiled his team for the Hong Kong and Tokyo series on Thursday that had no significant changes.

The coach said his priority is consistency and the two upcoming circuits will be used to test what the team has learnt from training and other previous legs.

Captain Andrew Amonde said the players have put in the work to regain their last season’s form.

The team was unveiled at the RFUEA grounds on Thursday. Kenya Airways chief executive Titus Naikuni attended the event.

The team leaves for Tokyo on Sunday where they will play South Africa, Argentina and Japan in group matches.

TEAM: Andrew Amonde, Philip  Wamae, Collins Injera, Denis Ombachi, Horace Utieno, Michael Agevi, Biko Adema, Billy Odhiambo, Felix Ayange, Patrice Agunda, Max Theuri and Oscar Ayodi.
