Newly launched Danish beer promises to empower local musicians

Danish beer, Tuborg, has been launched in the Kenyan market with a promise to support Kenyan musicians.

Speaking during the launch in Nairobi on Thursday, Mads Galsgaard, the General Manger Carlsberg Kenya said the company, which is the third largest brewer in the world, was excited and proud to launch the brand in Kenya.

“The brand will be empowering the music community from the ground up and once you open the drink you will at the same time be actively be supporting the local industry,” said Galsgaard.

In Kenya, the beer will be packaged in a bottle that is different from those in other countries. The 500ml green bottle will have gold colour instead of the usual green.

Speaking to Nairobi News, Matteo Fantacchotti, Senior Director Urban Development, said:

“The beer offers the new generation of beer lovers a differentiated product. It is the perfect combination of strong and smooth.”

Another large platform that has been the success factor of Tuborg through the years has been its strong connection to music.

Tuborg is involved with large global music festivals such as the Green Fest, a Tuborg proprietary music festival.

The brand also supports big music events and festivals across its regions, such as Roskilde, Glastonbury, Exit, Wireless,

The beer will be available in selected restaurants and establishments and in selected markets over the next few days.
