Tuju and Fidel used by M-Pesa fraudsters
County bigwigs are among the latest victims of fraudsters registering M-Pesa lines as part of an extortion racket.
Those behind the scam register SIM cards in the names of prominent personalities and use them to fleece unsuspecting people.
Big names which have been used in the racket include former Cabinet minister Raphael Tuju, Raila Odinga’s eldest son Fidel and Kenya National Examinations Council boss Paul Wasanga.
Police are holding a man believed to be behind the scam.
