Turban clad Ruto excites social media – PHOTOS


Kenyans have hilariously reacted to photos of Deputy President William Ruto donning a turban during a Sikh wedding.

Mr Ruto was in the temple during the wedding of Gavneet Chatthe and Rajbir Rai and was accompanied by Leader of Majority in the National Assembly, Aden Duale.

The DP shared photos of himself donning the turban seated at the temple following the wedding proceedings.

In some of the photos he is captured congratulating the newlyweds with a handshake and while addressing the guests.

The photos elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans of all walks.

Mwalimu Ticha said, “I thought a turban has a very serious religious significance and as such should not be worn on and off just like a bandana!”

Konya Henry commented, “But what is it with you politicians, must you put on such attires to identify with your supporters? You ppo can’t be original n still be recognized, can you? Hii na kukula kwa vibanda haina tofauti.”

GP SkoDj stated, “And you have a turban on your head?? Do you even know the significance?? Surely!! Anyway whatever.”

Grace Mbugua commented, “I love what am seeing… man of ppl congrats DP for ur humbleness… be blessed abundantly.”

Kiplagat Malakwen stated, “If you go to Rome do what Rome does (sic), tangamana na watu wa iana yote.”
