Tusker are looking to sign Gambian custodian Alagie Nyabally as a replacement of upcoming youngster Farouk Shikalo who is on his way out of the club.

The Ruaraka based club’s director Charles Obiny has opened the door to the possible acquisition of this Gambian international who s currently on trial at the club.

“The player is here on trial and we are awaiting a word from the technical bench. If he impresses, we shall offer him a contract, but yet again there are other modalities involved such as securing him a work permit,” Obiny told Nairobi News.

The player’s former club Real de Banjul FC however posted a statement on its official website realdebanjul.gm, confirming the Gambian international had completed a three year deal to the Kenyan Premier League club.

BIG SPENDERS

“I have always wanted a new challenge for many years and it’s finally a dream for me to move away from Gambia to play professional football elsewhere,” Nyabally told the club’s website.

The story was accompanied by the player’s photos while “signing” the contract and later posing with a Tusker jersey.

Shikalo, who kept the goal for the brewers in the first leg of the season, has been linked to a move to Football Kenya Federation Premier League high spenders Nakumatt FC.

Martin Musalia and Duncan Ochieng’ are the other established custodians at the team.

Nyabally could be the third Gambian player to sign with a Kenyan club, after Ebrima Sanneh who is attached to City Stars and Matarr Nyan who is also on the books of Tusker.
