TV personality reacts to baby daddy stabbing ex and killing daughter

The death of a two-and-a-half-year-old girl at the hands of her father, Daniel Musyoka, 34, (now deceased) continues to tear at the hearts of many who received news of the murders.

Musyoka had demanded that his ex-wife, Elizabeth Munyalo, avail their daughter for him to see and bond with as the two had separated due to irreconcilable domestic issues.

According to Nairobi News, Munyalo took their daughter to Nasra Estate within Nairobi’s Eastlands area and when Musyoka entered her car, he stabbed her several times in the neck on 21 August 2022.

When she managed to escape and into good samaritans’ hands, Musyoka locked the car and lit it on fire with himself and his daughter inside.

He died at the scene while the toddler later succumbed at the Kenyatta National Hospital where she had been rushed in critical condition.

Reacting to the stabbing and the murders, television personality Mungala Mbuvi of MediaMax Network’s K24 called on baby daddies to let go if the women they loved did not want to have anything to do with them anymore.

“Dear baby daddies, if the woman you love doesn’t love you back, it is perfectly fine to let her go. If she doesn’t want you to see your child, it’s perfectly fine to take time off and let things cool down.

What is not fine is to kill her and your child in an attempt to kill the pain. If you do succeed in this murder-suicide scenario, all you have achieved is leave a bunch of other people in pain,” said Mungala on Monday, August 22, 2022.

Upon her release from treatment at the Mama Lucy Kibaki hospital located minutes away from the scene of the crime in Nasra Estate, Munyalo said that Musyoka had a history of violence and threatening her life.

“He requested that I should be bringing him the baby after I moved out of our home.

He used to spend time with her on Sundays but he was angry that he could not be there on the baby’s second birthday as I was not around.

We agreed to meet the following day. We met and he entered and sat in the back seat of my car.

In the bag, I saw something resembling a knife and he said he was going to finish my baby and I as well as himself.

I didn’t have my seatbelt on and I panicked. I ran out but he pulled me back inside by my hair and stabbed me six times,” said Munyalo.

She was rescued by passersby as Musyoka then locked the car and set himself and the car on fire with petrol he had in a bottle packed in his bag.
