Tweet by Weston Hotel comes to haunt them over cholera outbreak
A tweet posted by Weston Hotel a month ago has raised more questions over a decision by the Ministry of Health not to close the establishment after being linked to Cholera cases.
On the 21st of June, Weston Hotel, in one of its tweets boasted of having more than 500 guests at the time while at the same time praising the staff, including the in-house chef, for a job well done.

Two days later it was reported by local media houses that a cholera outbreak at the hotel saw 33 patients admitted at Nairobi Hospital.
On Wednesday Health Cabinet Secretary, Cleopa Mailu announced the closure of two city hotels – Jacaranda and San Valencia – after an inspection was done at their premises revealed there was cholera viruses.

The news was not received well by Kenyans on Twitter who questioned why Weston Hotel was closed as well.
However, the CS has since explained that the food that was consumed during the science conference at Weston Hotel was outsourced.
