Two Cabinet Secretaries hit by cholera-like disease after KICC meal

National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich and his Industrialisation counterpart Adan Mohammed have been treated at a Nairobi hospital after they exhibited cholera-like symptoms.

More than 50 others are admitted to various hospitals with similar symptoms.

The two CSs ate at a trade fair at the Kenyatta International Conventional Centre (KICC) in Nairobi. The food was supplied by a Nairobi hotel which cannot be named for legal reasons.

Sources say Mr Mohammed was treated and discharged while Mr Mohammed was still admitted by publication time.

It is not confirmed if the patients are suffering from cholera, stomach upsets or food poisoning.
