Two thugs shot dead after chopping off man’s hand on Jogoo Road

Two suspected thugs were on Friday morning shot dead on Jogoo Road moments after they had chopped off a man’s hand.

Police say the two were cornered at Nyasa Lane, outside Qwetu house as they tried to escape.

The two were wanted criminals who went by the nicknames of Sheriff and Pablo.

The victim who was rushed to a nearby hospital was pronounced dead on arrival due to severe bleeding.

The two suspects are said to have chopped off the victim’s hand after he refused to let go of his mobile phone.

Meanwhile, police are looking for one of their own after he absconded duty and disappeared with his official firearm.

The Administration Police officers identified as Patrick Mwangi Mugo left on Sunday 8/12/2017 armed with the said firearm that was loaded with 40 rounds of ammunition.

Police tracked his phone and found it was last used in Githurai Lanes.

According to his father who was contacted by flying squad, his son had not contacted him.

Police suspect the firearm may have landed in the wrong hands .
