Uhuru has a new shirt and Kenyans are impressed

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday donned a new shirt during his nomination as Jubilee Party’s presidential candidate which was the talk in town – and beyond.

The president had earlier on Saturday made appearances at the headqurters of smaller parties to accept their endorsements, before making his way to Bomas of Kenya to receive his party’s nomination.

He donned a white, flowered shirt, which has since elicited reactions from different Kenyans.

“Congratulations Carol Pulei. She is the designer who came up with the beautiful shirt worn by President Kenyatta today. She hustled for a chance, she got it and it was great. Much respect Carol,” explained State House Director of Digital Communications Dennis Itumbi.

Ms Pulei runs an apparel shop on Ring Road in Kilimani and she beat a number of Kenyan designers for an opportunity to create the Jubilee presidential flagbearer’s shirt.

A State House insider had described the event as “one of the most important occasions on the president’s calendar.”

Kenyans expressed love for the president’s shirt.
