Uhuru bashes Maraga but pleads for Kisii vote
President Uhuru Kenyatta has sustained his public attack on the Chief Justice David Maraga and the other Supreme Court judges.
Speaking while addressing leaders from the Abagusii community at State House, Nakuru on Wednesday, President Uhuru said that he had no problem with the Kisii people but his problem was with the CJ’s decision to nullify his election.
He said what the court should have at least tried to do was to ask for a recount of the votes to determine if he had indeed won the election fairly.
“Mimi sina shida na Wakisii, lakini niko na shida na huu uamuzi wa huyu mzee, na watu yake. I must be honest with you because if I’m not then I’m not a human being,” President Kenyatta said.
President Kenyatta has in the past publicly expressed his displeasure with the Supreme Court ruling going as far as calling the six Supreme Court judges ‘Wakora’ (crooks).
