KOT outraged by Uhuru’s Jubilee presser at State House
President Uhuru Kenyatta’s press conference on Thursday on the upcoming Jubilee Party nominations has been widely criticized on social media.
Users ranted of how the President was misusing State House to speak on party matters while others defended the move saying his address also urged Kenyans generally to be peaceful.
President Kenyatta assured Jubilee Party aspirants and supporters of a free and fair nomination process adding that he has not and will not endorse any candidate.
A majority of Kenyans on Twitter, who mistook the presser for a State of the Nation address, termed it as a “State of the Jubilee Party” address.
Here are some of the Twitter reactions to the address that was televised live on all stations:
Ummm @UKenyatta if you were speaking as @JubileePartyK head wouldnt it have been best to deliver stand on primaries from secretariat not SH?
