Uhuru and Raila make final push for votes

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his main rival Raila Odinga for Tuesday’s polls will on Saturday hold their last rallies as the campaign period comes to a close.

President Kenyatta and his Jubilee brigade will be at Nakuru’s Afraha Stadium while Mr Odinga will lead the Nasa team’s final campaign at Uhuru Park in Nairobi.

On Friday, President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, Mr William Ruto, conducted marathon campaigns in Kiambu, Narok and Nairobi counties in a last minute call for votes during Tuesday’s General Election.

Nasa on its part sought to consolidate their support at the Coast by reaching out to residents to vote for the coalition at a rally in Mombasa.

Opposition presidential candidate Raila Odinga, his running mate, Mr Kalonzo Musyoka and ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi addressed a charged rally at Mama Ngina grounds in Mombasa that was nearly marred by sibling rivalry between gubernatorial candidates Hassan Joho (ODM) and Hassan Omar (Wiper).
