President Uhuru Kenyatta has sacked former Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo as the Kenya Airports Authority board chairman and replaced him with former Chief of Defence Forces Major-General Julius Karangi.
The head of state made the changes in a gazette notice on Friday.
General Karangi will serve as chairman until 2018.
He retired from the military in April 2015 and was replaced by General Samson Mwathethe.
Mr Kimaiyo, who resigned from the IGP’s post after a disastrous stint, was appointed KAA chairman in December 2014 by President Kenyatta.
