“The suspect was in critical condition so we took him to Dawida Hospital as police continue with  investigations,” he said.

Mr Muhia said that angry villagers had vowed to lynch the suspect should he be released.

ANGRY MOB

“The suspect was senselessly beaten by the angry mob before he was brought to the police station. We will arraign him in court after he is discharged  from hospital,” said Mr Muhia.

He said that the minor stays with his uncle and his grandmother and that at he time of the incident, his grandmother was at the market.

Area nominated MCA Mary Mngola, who took the minor to the hospital, said his uncle was charged with the responsibility of helping the minor change his clothes after arriving from school.

“His uncle normally help him change his clothes because his grandmother is at the market,” she said.

Police reports indicates that the minor’s cousins raised alarm when they saw the suspect assaulting the boy.

The nominated MCA said that the suspect disappeared after committing the offence but was later cornered by the residents.

BLEEDING

“The minor’s friends raised alarm that the suspect was strangling him, the suspect escaped when his elder brother arrived to rescue the victim who was bleeding profusely,” she said.

According to police records, the minor reported to his uncles that he was feeling pain on his private part and upon undressing and checking him, they found that his genitals had been chopped off.

The police said that the minor’s private parts that had been chopped off is yet to be recovered.

“Due to the suspect’s unsound mind status, he could not remember where he had placed the chopped part,” the OCPD said adding that investigations had been launched to find the missing parts.

“It’s sad that until today, the minor’s body parts are still missing since the suspect cannot cannot remember where they are,” said Mngola.

The minor is fighting for his life at the Nairobi Hospital while the suspect is recuperating from the injuries sustained during the beatings.
