University student goes into hiding after strangling her week-old baby
Police are looking for a 21-year-old university student suspected to have strangled her week-old baby.
According to the police, members of the public reported about a student from Keriri Women University who had apparently strangled her one week old baby after being discharged from Nakuru Provincial General Hospital.
The woman was traveling from the hospital to her rural village at Fortenan. She had been admitted at the said hospital and was discharged on Sunday after final diagnosis of mild birth asphyxia.
Police suspect that the mother of the suspect apparently took the body of the baby and disappeared with it.
SHOT DEAD
In Nairobi, a suspected gangster was shot dead after robbing a doctor from Aga Khan Hospital who was on his way to work on Sunday morning.
The shot suspect was said to be part of an armed three man gang that confronted Dr Sudi Mussa Chetambe and robbed him of Sh3,000.
The victim raised alarm and police on patrol responded and shot dead one of the suspects. Police recovered a homemade gun with three rounds of ammunition, a sword and two mobile phones.
