Valentine’s Day: Kikuyu gospel singer Muigai Wa Njoroge celebrates his two wives
As Kenyans join the rest of the world in marking Valentine’s Day, Kikuyu gospel singer, Muigai Wa Njoroge has celebrated his two wives for what he has termed as ‘giving him peace in marriage’.
The artiste is married to Ms Njeri and Queen Stacey. In a post on his Facebook page on Tuesday, Mr Muigai showered his two wives with praise, saying they have shown resilience in their marriage.
He applauded his spouses for showing unity, unlike in other polygamous marriages where co-wives engage in endless fights triggered by selfish interests and hatred.
“Good morning my friends… Today being Valentine’s Day, I would like to celebrate with my girls: Aya nio matuire matua ma, makùngenagia. Kùngiragiriria, Kùnyitagirira, Kùndùagirira, Makiaga gùtua matua ma, Kwiyendaga, Kùiguanagira wùiru, Ona kùmenana, (They made a decision to make me happy, shielding and fighting for me. They decided not to be led by personal selfish interests and hating each other),” Wa Njoroge wrote.
“Ngoro ta ici ti nyingi kwa ihinda riri Ngai ndeithia kùmatiithagia. Marorathimwo AKA a Mùigai, Nio manjakaga! (Such kinds of souls are rare to find in this particular era, and may God always provide me to take care of them. May they be blessed abundantly, Muigai’s wives. They comfort me),” he explained.
Some of Wa Njoroge’s popular hits include Hinya Wa Mahoya (Power of prayers), Ndukanduire Na Marakara (Don’t fight for me in hatred), Ngai Muriithi (God is my shepherd) and Murata (A friend).
The musician also uploaded photos of him with the wives, sharing sweet moments together. In the pictures, one wife is dressed in red dress while the other one is in a white dress.
