Veteran Nollywood actor, Elder Maya, dies after battle with illness
Nollywood actor Elder Maya, real name Martins Njubuigbo, will no longer be gracing our TV screens.
The Nigerian veteran actor died after a long battle with a liver disease.
The announcement was made by his fellow actor Yomi Fabiyi via Instragram.
Elder Maya was famous for his “unique” roles, mostly as a village chief priest, an elder or a witch doctor.
His death brings to four the number of prominent Nollywood actors who have passed on in 2016.
Others are Olamide David, Mike Odachi, Festus Aguebor and Bukky Ajayi.
