Victoria Kimani denies dating Victor Wanyama
Late last year, there were rumours all over the internet that singer Victoria Kimani was dating UK-based Kenyan footballer Victor Wanyama.
In a move to clear the air, Victoria, who spoke about the issue for the first time last weekend, said that they were just good friends and nothing more.
“My manager is a good friend of Victor’s family here in Nairobi, and that’s how I started interacting with them. Victor has a clean heart, and that’s why we are good friends,” Victoria said on Saturday.
She also refuted claims that Victor, who plays for premier league club Southampton, invited her to the UK last year.
“I had projects with BBC and that’s why I was in the UK. But while there, he took my manager and I to watch some of the football games.”
Victoria landed in Nairobi on Friday, after a week-long recording of a new song with ONE organisation in South Africa.
They did one song with D’Banj, Yvonne Chakachaka, Diamond, AY, Omawumi and others, to promote an agricultural project by ONE.
