Victoria Kimani: I might be seeing someone but are they seeing me too? (Exclusive)

Sensational Kenyan singer-songwriter Victoria Kimani, a mesmerizing force in the music industry in Kenya, Nigeria and taking on the world, is the embodiment of irresistibility.

With her Afro RnB music style, authentic lyrics and bold personality, she commands the attention of her audience, be it online or offline.

She is a force to reckon with and this has enabled her to capture and maintain the love of millions of fans on various social media and music-streaming platforms for many years.

Away from the limelight, she is a homebody who loves spending time indoors- and in this space, she creates time to pursue a love life- or a semblance of it as she hopes.

Speaking to Nairobi News, Ms Kimani revealed she might be seeing someone but was not sure if the person was seeing her back.

“It’s such a tricky thing. I don’t even know what this means anymore. Like, are you seeing someone? I don’t know. I might be but I always ask myself ‘Are they seeing me too?’ You know what I mean? So I don’t know but I’m not in a relationship, I don’t have a boyfriend or a fiancé or a husband. I would like one but the way people have been set up, that gender, recently I don’t know. Maybe I’m just not meeting the right one but it’s also probably my fault because I’m not really putting myself out there as much as I probably should”.

Like I said, I’m a homebody but yeah, I’m definitely talking to someone – I won’t say who –  anyway, I’m speaking, right? But you know how you’re seeing someone but are they seeing me? That’s actually the question. Because I feel like, I could be like ‘Yeah, I’m seeing someone’ and then I’m just a loser in my head but the whole time he was just my friend, you know?” said Ms Kimani when asked if she was currently enjoying a love life.

In past media interviews, Ms Kimai measuredly spoke about her love life, including one with a Nigerian ex, during her residency in the West African nation despite always keeping her love life under wraps.

Her ex had been a renowned video producer and director, and following the breakup, Ms Kimani revealed she wouldn’t pursue a romantic relationship with famous people again. They broke up around 2017.

In the books for future love interests, Ms Kimani said she wouldn’t date an unambitious man and should definitely be ‘swagged up and looks good’.

“I do not want someone who is lazy because I am not lazy. I do not want someone who lacks vision, I want someone with a business mind because my business mind is not great. There needs to be a balance,” said Ms Kimani in a past media interview with a local news channel.
