Victoria Kimani on why she rarely performs in Kenya
Kenyan singer Victoria Kimani now says the reason she rarely performs in Kenya is because local promoters don’t want to pay the required performance fees.
Victoria, who is currently shooting a video in South Africa, tweeted: “A prophet is never welcome at home.”
She further said: “I really wish I could perform at home more. My Kenyan fans rarely get to see me LIVW… the promoters just don’t like to pay local artistes.”
Ever since Victoria relocated to the country from the US, she has performed at very few shows, as compared to other countries such as Nigeria and South Africa.
