Video of Uhuru dancing with 8-year-old boy goes viral

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday wowed guests at the Kenya Red Cross Society’s 50th anniversary at KICC, Nairobi when he rose to dance with an eight-year-old’ boy.

The head of state rose to dance to Marc Smith’s Swahili and English song, momentarily sending his security detail into action as they threw a ring around them.

At one point, Mr Kenyatta got confused when the young singer started the routine dance lyrics head, shoulder knees and toes.

President Kenyatta can be seen waiting to start the routine but it proves too fast for him to handle. It is understandable since he may have sang it as a child more than 50 years ago.

At the end of the song, the head of state hi-fives the boy before embracing him tightly. At the end of the event, he held the boy’s hand and escorted him to the back-seat of his official car.

TOUR OF STATE HOUSE

They are then seen alighting from the vehicle at State House, Nairobi before he again holds the boy’s hands for a tour of the State House. The video has been shared a number of times on social media.

Marc, though, is no stranger to the First family. In April, he received a similar hug from First Lady Margaret Kenyatta after performing during the official opening of the National Assembly Lady Spouses Association of Kenya Directorate of National Cohesion and National Values conference which she graced.

He also shot a video of Pharrell Williams’ Happy song at TRM and has performed Michael Jackson’s Heal the World.

Marc was born in Kenya August 10, 2006 to an Australian father and a Kenyan mother.
