Waititu declared winner in Kiambu after vanquishing Kabogo
Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu has been declared winner for the Jubilee primaries in the Kiambu governor’s race.
Mr Waititu garnered 353,604 votes against incumbent governor William Kabogo who managed a paltry 69,916 votes.
Mr Kabogo conceded defeat in shock press conference on Tuesday night, hours after the tallying had started.
Kiambu is a Jubilee stronghold and the party’s flag bearer is seen as the governor in waiting.
