Wanted: Famous footballer commits sodomy against two minors
Police in Nairobi have launched a manhunt for a famous football player who allegedly sodomised two boys in Satellite, Nairobi County.
Nairobi News has established that mid-last week the player was nabbed by locals within Satellite, and as they were escorting him to the station, he managed to escape.
“He managed to escape jumped into a moving matatu and that is how we lost him but we reported the matter to the police,” Mr Joe Oliech told this reporter.
The matter was reported at Riruta Police Station on Thursday, January 19, 2023, under Occurrence Book (OB) number 47/19/01/2023.
Police records show that two boys complained that the suspect sodomised them and issued threats to them.
He told them he would harm them if they told anyone what had happened to him.
One of the boys is 14 years old, and he told the police that the suspect sodomised him severally and on diverse dates until he decided to inform his parents what had transpired.
Nairobi News has established that the suspect was in the past jailed for eight years after he was found guilty of defiling a minor.
He served seven years in jail but was released on a pardon issued by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Believing that he had changed his ways and reformed, ready to re-enter society, the community allowed him back, and he was even given a chance to coach minors in the football sector.
“He was released by the government as he had shown that he had changed his ways and when we saw him back to the community we accepted it and even allowed him coach some boys on matters of football,” said Mr Oliech.
Currently, detectives and police officers in the city are on high alert and are still searching for the suspect.
On various social media platforms and also WhatsApp groups within Riruta, his images have been shared with the aim of getting hold of him.
