Watch: Amerian rapper launches animated children series


American rapper Snoop Dogg has launched a new animated children series dubbed Doggyland- Kids Songs and Nursery Rhymes.

The series features a colorful cast of singing dog characters that will use song and dance to teach lessons on social and emotional skills.

Aiming at kids and toddlers from 2 to 8 years old, Doggyland will be shown on YouTube and YouTube Kids.

This show features a colorful cast of dogs who edutain children through the power of singing, dancing and rapping! The cast is composed of Bow Wizzle (played by Snoop Dogg) and the puppies Wags, Yap Yap, Barks-A-Locks and Chow Wow!

Playing children songs, the series will be accessible for free to everyone so that all kids can enjoy it. “I’ve always wanted to create a kid-friendly series that lets kids be kids and is truly representative of the culture with everything from the music to the characters,” he said.

Adding that the series would include lessons on topics like letters, numbers, animals and building good habits at a young age with a core message of acceptance, diversity and inclusion, the Drop it like its hot hit maker said that the show would encourage kids and parents to come together to learn new skills as well as spread joy and love to one another.

Born Calvin Broadus Jr, fame dates to 1992 when he featured on Dr Dre’s debut solo single “Deep Cover.” He has since sold over 23 million albums in the United States and 35 million albums worldwide.

Since the start of his career, Snoop has been an avowed cannabis smoker, making it one of the trademarks of his image. He has been recorded claiming to be smoking approximately 80 cannabis blunts a day.
