WATCH: Colonel Mustapha narrates struggles with ailing mum in new hit, ‘Umenikumbuka’
Rapper Colonel Mustapha has expressed his profound appreciation to his fans with the release of a touching Thanksgiving song titled “Umenikumbuka” months after they rallied behind him during a challenging period.
The song, which was uploaded on YouTube on October 30, 2023, serves as a heartfelt acknowledgment to the fans and supporters who stood by Colonel Mustapha and his family when he shared the news of his mother’s illness on social media.
In “Umenikumbuka,” Colonel Mustapha recounts the emotional turmoil he faced when his mother fell ill.
“My mother was sick, and I spent most of the time crying. I could not sleep; depression took away my happiness. I did not know I would be up again, but my fans came through for me. I am a legend without money, but thank you, my fans. God saved me and remembered me at that low moment,” he shared in the song.
