It was reggae and weed at the Jamhuri Reggae festival – PHOTOS & VIDEO


Reggae fans got the chance to enjoy hits by Jamaican artistes Capleton and Queen Ifrika at the Jamhuri Reggae Festival held at the Safaricom stadium, Kasarani.

The Sunday event also saw performances by local artistes Wyre, Gravitti Band and Mc Philipo, Sister Njambi.

The fans braved the chilly night to sway to the reggae tunes till early morning.

Some fans breached the tight security to sneak rolls of bhang at the festival, which they later openly smoked.

Reggea empress Queen Ifrika of the hit single “Daddy” entertained the crowd away with her hits amid candid talk on refraining from violence in the upcoming elections.

Other Jamaican artistes who performed at the festival were Jah Thunder and Sustane.
