Why Akothee’s sons could miss her second wedding in Switzerland
Renowned Kenyan singer and entrepreneur, Esther Akoth, popularly known as Akothee, has expressed her concern over the attendance of her two sons at her forthcoming second wedding ceremony.
Her sons, who live in France, missed her first wedding due to their academic commitments.
Akothee revealed the dilemma in an emotional social media post. “He is not saying anything, not asking questions about my royal fairytale wedding. Now, how do I start this conversation about their attendance at the second ceremony? Should I send an email?” she shared, referring to the communication with her ex-partner.
The artiste’s first wedding was held in April in Kiambu, Kenya, and her sons, Prince Ojwang and Prince Oyoo, were noticeably absent.
However, she has assured her fans that they will be present at her second wedding scheduled for July 10 in Switzerland where the groom’s family is located.
“The only people who will miss my wedding are my two sons who will not make it because of school rules, but they will witness the one which is scheduled to take place on July 10,” she said during her Kiambu wedding.
The mother to five children also shared plans to transport her entire bridal party to Switzerland for a secondary wedding celebration in July.
The vibrant singer disclosed through social media platforms that the ceremony is scheduled for July 10, 2023, with the same bridal party expected to be in attendance.
“I present to you The Royal Bridal Party, our exceptional team, who will be traveling to Switzerland for the ‘Esther Weds Denis’ ceremony on July 10, 2023.
This entire YEAR is dedicated to my wedding celebrations, so start your planning for next year,” she enthusiastically announced.
In a candid post in the past, Akothee lauded her baby daddy, Dominique Wuon Oyoo, for his supportive role towards her children, notably, her daughter, Fancy Makadia.
“When I met Dominique Wuon Oyoo, he embraced my children. Fancy Makadia found a dad. He’s a selfless guy and a ride-or-die,” she said.
Akothee has also in the past faced some family drama with her second baby daddy, Markus Urs Meyer, the father of her son, Ojwang.
Markus, who she claims abandoned her during pregnancy, sought custody for their son.
