Why Alai is furious with Itumbi’s suspension

Controversial blogger Robert Alai has expressed his disappointment with the suspension of Director of Digital Communication in the office of the president, Dennis Itumbi and three other high-ranking officers previously at the Presidential Strategic Communication Unit PSCU.

Mr Itumbi was sent home on Wednesday night alongside head of public communications Munyori Buku, Chief of messaging at the Presidency Eric Ngeno and Branding and Events head James Kinyua.

In a heartfelt post in response to the Facebook hashtag #PoleItumbi, Mr Alai also faults State House Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr Nzioka Waita, scheming against those who played a key in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s election victory in 2013.

DIRTY STUFF

Mr Alai further claims that in so doing, Mr Waita has destroyed the lives of young men without any thought of what they will do with themselves.

“Every rightful thinking Kenyan must wake up and fight for the rights of everyone including those they have not agreed with,” Mr Alai’s post reads in part.

“In 2012, Nzioka was nowhere doing the hard and dirty stuff for Uhuru to be President. Now he is screwing those who fought for Uhuru to be President. Nzioka will not last here. He won’t. Mark this post,” he concluded.

As the same time, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has also expressed his surprise over the suspension of the officers.
