Daddy Owen, Emmy Kosgey part ways over New Year eve party
Celebrated gospel musicians Emmy Kosgey and Daddy Owen will not hold their usual joint New Year’s eve gospel party in Eldoret on Wednesday night.
The two have done so for three consecutive years but this time round they have decided to hold separate shows.
Emmy will still be in Eldoret at the Sports Club, while Owen has shifted base to Thika Municipal Stadium where he will also launch his new album.
The separation has caused an uproar among gospel musicians loyal to both as they have been left to wonder where to perform.
Emmy enjoys a massive following in Eldoret while Daddy Owen started his music career in the same town.
The grapevine has it that Daddy Owen felt like he is not getting a fair deal in this partnership and that is why he decided to go solo.
