Why Diamond missed the UK rugby 7s party
Bongo Flava star Diamond was scheduled to perform in London on Saturday night at the rugby 7s after party organised by Kenyan promoters living in the UK.
However, on Friday night, Diamond apologised to his fans on Instagram, saying he was not going to make it to London for the show due to unavoidable circumstances.
A close source to the singer, told Chillax that Diamond applied for his visa at the Nairobi UK High Commission quite late and by the time it was processed, it was too late for him to travel.
“His passport was sent to him with the visa, but arrived in Dar es Salaam quite late. It was impossible for Diamond to travel to London,” the source confirmed.
However, Nairobi-based DJ Kriss Darlin and US-based Kenyan DJ, Fully Focus, performed at the event.
