Willis Raburu quits lucrative job at Governor Sakaja’s office

WiMedia personality Willis Raburu has officially tendered his resignation from the Nairobi County Committee Activities.

Through a press release, Raburu announced that he made the decision to step down from his role as Chair of the Nairobi Festival Committee.

His resignation was effective as of Monday, October 30.

Raburu has been a notable figure in the Nairobi community, where he has contributed to various initiatives and worked alongside Nairobi Governor Sakaja and his administration.

In the press release, Raburu expressed his gratitude for the trust and opportunities he has received during his tenure.

He stated, “It has been an honor to work alongside Governor Sakaja and his administration, and I would like to express my deep gratitude for the trust and opportunity that they have extended to me during my time here.”

The decision to step down, however, is rooted in his belief in the pressing need for systemic change to improve service delivery and leadership within the county.

Raburu emphasized the importance of examining existing systems to better serve the county and its residents.

“It is clear that to better serve the county and its residents, a more comprehensive look at existing systems is essential, which, to be fair, have already been instituted, and I wish them all the best in this regard,” Raburu stated.

He further emphasized his belief that with the right structural adjustments and a collective commitment to positive change, the county can pave the way for a brighter future.

His hope is that his decision will serve as a catalyst for the necessary transformation that Nairobi County deserves.

“I remain dedicated to supporting the county from a different vantage point and will continue to work towards the betterment of our community. I thank the county leadership for the opportunities I have been given and look forward to witnessing the positive changes that will result from this pivotal moment,” Raburu concluded.
