Witness identifies MP Muchai’s suspected killers
Four suspects linked to the cold blood murder of former Kabete MP George Muchai were on Monday identified in court.
A witness recalled for cross-examination said she could not mistake the suspects because they had spent “enough” time with her after carjacking her before the MP was murdered hours later.
The suspects are believed to have carjacked the woman and her sister earlier in the night before attacking Mr Muchai in the wee hours of the fateful morning.
The witness also showed trial magistrate Daniel Ogembo the ill-fated car which the suspects commandeered to the city center before the fatal gunshots were fired.
The MP was shot dead alongside his aides on February 7 in the city centre.
The suspects are Raphael Gachii, Kimani Anyonyi and Stephen Lipapo.
Three other suspects, Jane Wanjiru, Margaret Wachuiri and Simon Gichamba have been charged alongside the men with violent robbery.
Hearing continues.
