Woman stabs rival to death in love triangle
A woman has been stabbed to death by her rival in a suspected love triangle.
The suspect is said to have gone to the victim’s home at Kairu village and stabbed her on the neck until she died.
The incident happened at 4pm in the evening.
“I screamed and some neighbours came to our rescue but it was too late because she had already died,” said her 17-year-old daughter.
The deceased has left behind five children.
According to the area Chief Mwenda Fredrick, the suspect who hails from Micii Mikuru about 20 kilometers from where the incident happened, accused Ms Nkirore Kamanga of eloping with her husband.
“She came and stabbed her on the neck. The body was moved to Meru Level 5 Hospital mortuary,” said the Chief. The suspect was arrested.
Speaking at the scene of crime, he urged the residents to stop taking law into their hands. Instead, they should always report the matter to the police who will know how to handle the case.
He assured the residents that the suspect will be arraigned in court.
“She was arrested and is now detained at Mikinduri police station. She will be arraigned in court,” he said.
