Youths stone MP’s car in Kisumu over his Jubilee ‘links’ – PHOTOS

Irate youths in Kisumu town on Wednesday stoned their MP’s car over his alleged links to the Jubilee Party.

Kisumu Central MP Ken Obura was in the town to rally residents to enlist as voters in the ongoing mass registration. His entourage was  escorted by boda boda riders who wore reflector jackets bearing his potraits .

But he ran into irate youth in Kondele who stoned his car for supporting the Jubilee Party. They broke his vehicle’s rear and side windows.

The Kisumu Central MP was also chased at Kibuye market, forcing him to flee the scene .

The boda boda riders escorting him quickly removed Mr Obura’s reflector jackets in fear of the wrath of the irate youth.

Mr Obura has in the past hosted President Uhuru Kenyatta in his constituency for the launch of National Youth Service (NYS) projects.

The MP has also been critisised over his silence and absence during ODM rallies and activities in the region.
