Day Chris Brown event organizer landed Uhuru in trouble
The day was Saturday, November 22, 2014. Kenya woke up to disturbing news that some 28 people had been massacred at dawn by Al-Shabaab while on a bus from Mandera to Nairobi.
Twenty four hours later, Kenyans were still awaiting a message of reassurance from the head of state. Nothing was forthcoming.
Then boom: on Sunday (November 23rd), an Instagram user (@msthandilicious) shocked the country by posting a picture of herself with president Uhuru Kenyatta in Dubai, ostensibly watching Formula One Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi.
That woman was Thandi Ojeer, a co-director of Wale Wasee Ltd, the promoters of Saturday’s Chis Brown concert.
She captioned it, “Selfie with The Kenyan President. My life is so #dope and I do and meet dope people! #selfie #Kenya #president #uhuruKenyatta. Lovely man.”
She would later pull it down but the damage had already been done.
For days, Kenyans on Twitter went ham on the Head of State, accusing him of taking light the deaths of 28 Kenyans.

Eh! Uhuru's Abu Dhabi selfie features on BBC Swahili. "Amepigwa selfi na mwanamke mmoja asiyetambulika… Lakini si selfi ya kashfa…" LOL

Thandi Ojeer, girl in the Uhuru Abu Dhabi selfie, is a London socialite, maneater, ex-lover of Claude Makelele. Looks like photoshop though

And when he made his first public appearance four days later, this is what he had to say.
Apart from the picture, when Ms Ojeer visited Mombasa Kenya earlier this year, she was given a full police escort (or so she claimed) from Moi International Airport to her hotel and she went ahead to post it on social media before she pulled it down.
Very little is known about Ms Ojeer and her company, Wale Wasee Limited, which reportedly paid American singer, Chris Brown, Sh 90 million to perform for just 90 minutes on Saturday night at the Mombasa Sports Club.
