DJ Mo shares heartbreak after Size 8 dumped him for two months
Gospel music’s power couple, Size 8 and Samuel Muraya, are poised to mark a significant milestone as they prepare to celebrate a decade of marriage.
This ten-year journey has been marked by both moments of joy and turbulence, as the couple navigated challenges, learned, and grew together.
In a candid interview with Oga Obinna, Samuel Muraya, known by his stage name DJ Mo, reflected on the evolution of their partnership.
“This September, we are reaching our 10-year mark. Size 8 has truly elevated my brand throughout this journey. Currently, we’re in the process of building our home. It’s been a transformative journey,” he shared with a heartfelt smile.
Their journey hasn’t been without its trials, however.
DJ Mo opened up about a particularly trying period in their relationship when it almost came to an end.
“There was a time when we had a serious argument that escalated to the point where she decided to leave and rented her own apartment for two months,” he revealed, acknowledging his own short temper as a contributing factor.
“Sometimes, I let my emotions get the best of me. I’ve been working on addressing this for quite some time.”
He continued to describe the intensity of the situation that nearly tore them apart.
“During that disagreement, things became so heated that it almost turned physical. One thing I’ve always been committed to is avoiding violence at all costs. I’m well aware of my own tendencies.”
DJ Mo acknowledged that the situation reached a point where Size 8 confided in his parents and decided to leave.
DJ Mo said the news of their separation didn’t remain hidden, as the spotlight on their celebrity status inevitably brought it to public attention.
“Bloggers got wind of it when she was spotted somewhere,” DJ Mo noted, highlighting the challenges of maintaining privacy in the public eye.
“At that moment, I thought our marriage might be over. The situation was dire, but we made the conscious effort to work through our differences.”
The couple’s deep love for children has been a consistent thread in their relationship since they first crossed paths.
DJ Mo said that while many details of their journey are familiar to the public, their ability to overcome obstacles and continue to thrive serves as an inspiration to others facing challenges within their relationships.
