MP Olago Aluoch flown to Nairobi after falling ill
Kisumu West MP Olago Aluoch has been flown to Nairobi for treatment after he reportedly fell ill in his house on Friday.
News of his ill health was announced by Kisumu Senator Anyang’ Nyong’o during a public prayer service for the late Fidel Odinga at the Jomo Kenyatta Sports Ground in Kisumu.
Senator Nyong’o said the legislator was receiving specialised treatment following the mid-morning incident whose cause is still unknown.
Prof Nyong’o made the announcement to explain the Ford Kenya MP’s absence at the event.
“Olago is not able to be with us today because even as we speak he is being flown to Nairobi for treatment. We are praying for his quick recovery,” said Prof Nyong’o.
