Nameless, AY to perform in Chameleone’s 1 million show

Ugandan artist Jose Chameleone has confirmed that his “One Million Night Experience” show slated for Thursday at Kampala Serena Hotel is still on and will see performances by Kenya’s Nameless and Tanzania’s AY.

Chameleone told Uganda’s New Vision that the tickets had been categorized as Silver, going for Ush200, 000, other tickets for Ush500, 000 and Platinum tickets for Ush1million.

AY announced his arrival in Kampala on Wednesday in a twitter conversation, “@FauzKhalid: @AyTanzania jogoo ndani ya Klav” unaandika kama unatoka Crimea lol niko Kampala.”

Chameleone further expressed optimism that the show will be a success despite the hullabaloo over the 1million ticket price.

GOOD CAUSE

“I am not in this for money to buy a suit, because I own a suit. I am in this to help someone in Karamoja who needs water. So, that is why I would not mind how many fans manage to make it to the show, but those who manage to contribute to a good cause,” said the artist who was flanked by his wife Daniella during the interview.

Chameleone who has 14 albums under his belt added that the show will be truly worth a million shillings as he will be performing all the songs he has sung since the year 2000.

Born Joseph Manyanja, Chameleone  is known for hit songs such as Valu Valu, Tubonge, Mama Mia, Basiima Ogenze, Badilisha, Vumilia and Wale Wale that have earned him acclaim over time.

He has also won several local and international awards in a music career spanning over a decade.
