Jeff Koinange out on bail
Television host Jeff Koinange, who was arrested and arraigned in court on Tuesday, has been released on a cash bail of Sh 100, 000.
The presenter had been arrested for contempt after a court issued a warrant of arrest and a bid to stop it failed on Monday.
During his court appearance the prosecution told the court that Mr Koinange had not been sleeping at his house hence police had to apply high tech tactics to arrest him.
Shortly after he was released, Lawyer Gitobu Imanyara tweeted, “Jeff Koinange whom my law firm is representing in a suit that is seeking to prevent discussion of Anglo Leasing scam, has been released.”
Mr Koinange weighed in to assure his fans that the show will continue, “OK Folks, I’m OUT…..Cash Bail…..JKL rolls on…….Thanks for all your kind words of Support…See you tomorrow @10pm @KTNKenya.”

Nairobi Senior Resident Magistrate Maisy Chesang issued the arrest order after Mr Koinange and businessman Tony Gachoka failed to appear in court to answer charges of discussing the conduct of a company in the media despite a court order barring the same.
Mr Gachoka is still at large.
Mr Koinange who is the host for “Jeff Koinange Live” had tweeted earlier on the day assuring fans that he would make efforts to be out by the end of the day as his Wednesday show would host State House man Dennis Itumbi and blogger Robert Alai.
