Pastor Ng’ang’a ‘sells’ papers during sermon

Controversial preacher James Ng’ang’a of the Neno Evangelism Centre in Nairobi is at it again, with his ongoing theatrics.

This time, he is ‘selling pieces of paper’ to his congregants.

In a video, the pastor is seen pulling out several pages from a notebook, sharing them with the congregants and receiving money in return.

In the two-minute and nineteen-second video (2:19), Mr Ng’ang’a preaches about miracles—specifically, the experience of flying using an airplane.

“I am flying, I am inside the plane, I am inside the plane,” he declares.

Ironically, he dismisses his foolishness, proceeding to pluck a number of pages from the book as he attempts to persuade his church members about the miracles he is about to perform.

He tears the papers into small pieces.

“When you get home, tear these papers, do you understand? You see how foolish I am? I call this foolishness. Tear the paper…Say it is money,” he explains.

Surprisingly, his followers respond, acknowledging that the papers are indeed “money.”

He counts the pieces one at a time, then exclaims, “That is it. That is one million (meaning Sh1 million). Hallelujah, my God is great…Let me sell these ones. How much do you have?”

The controversial pastor hysterically laughs.

His followers surround him, handing him money in exchange for the torn pieces of papers.

“Bring money, bring. How much will you buy? Bring it; let me sell this. I know tomorrow they will attack me,” he says while receiving money from the congregants.

He specifies the amounts they are buying—Sh200 and Sh500 for each piece of paper.

He urges them that upon arrival at home, they should write dates on the papers.

“Write the date there. Forget about the stories you hear from people. I am selling papers,” he insists.

This is not the first incident for the controversial preacher, who is often seen manipulating his followers.

A few months ago, a video surfaced of him berating his followers for making small offerings.

Pastor Ng’ang’a insisted that a Sh500 offering could never sustain or buy him anything.

In another incident, he boasts about his luxurious car, saying he can’t drive it along Luthuli Avenue in Nairobi.

He criticizes the route, asserting that it is full of thugs and hooligans.

The preacher was also recently exposed for slapping one of his followers upon realizing that the female congregant was dozing during the sermon.
