Detectives investigating the brutal murder of a 20-year-old woman in Roysambu have revealed that the suspect initiated contact with the victim through Instagram, ultimately leading to a horrifying end to her life.

According to information gathered by investigators, the suspect engaged the deceased in conversations on Instagram, convincing her to leave her Syokimau home in Athi River and meet him at TRM Drive in Roysambu.

The suspect’s messages revealed a disturbing sequence of events, including the victim expressing reluctance and even questioning the man’s intentions.

Conversations retrieved by investigators indicate that the suspect denied any sinister motives and successfully convinced the young woman to meet him.

The man avoided using voice calls and messaging apps like WhatsApp, with the suspect citing urgency due to an impending departure from the country as a reason for their immediate meeting.

The victim left her home for the date late in the evening, informing a friend that she was headed for dinner and would return afterward.

Police believe that the suspect instructed the woman to meet him at the TRM bus stop before proceeding to an already-booked apartment.

Investigators also suspect that the murder occurred in the apartment’s bathroom, where the young woman’s life was tragically cut short.

Currently, three suspects are in police custody in connection with the incident.
