Kagwe: I’m not bothered by critics about my love life as long as my girl is happy

Singer and producer Kagwe Mungai says he’s not bothered by social media critics about his love life, which he constantly shares online.

Last month, Mungai released a love song, Utuko, which he dedicated to his girlfriend, Sharon Mwangi, who happens to be the vixen in the song’s video.

“You know when you have a partner, it’s someone who is on your team. We are on the same team (as far as our critics are concerned), that’s the most important thing. She constantly reminds me and I constantly remind her that we are on the same team. So if we are on the same team, we are fighting the same battle. My victories are hers and hers is mine. All I want to see is that she is happy when her dimples light up, that’s the most important thing for me, I don’t care about the rest,” says a smitten Mungai.

The lovebirds have been dating for a year now, having gone public with their relationship in May 2023.
In a previous interview, content creator Sharon opened up about how sceptical she was about going public with her affair with the singer.

Sharon admitted to harbouring fears about going public with their relationship.

She revealed she sought advice from a close friend who encouraged her to go public.

“We had a lot of conversations because I was scared. We didn’t hide, I had a conversation with Joan (a friend) and she told me it wasn’t as scary as I thought it was. We decided what our boundaries were,” Sharon revealed.

Ms Mwangi added that she never entertains the idea of splitting up, insisting that she prefers to cherish the good moments their relationship has to offer for as long as it lasts.
