Obama excites online community with old photo of himself and Michelle
Former US President Barack Obama has excited the online community for using an old picture of him and his wife Michelle during their first visit Kenya.
The photo captures the loving couple in their youthful days standing while facing the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
The retired president shared the photo to wish his wife a happy 55th birthday. The picture is accompanied by a sweet birthday message to his wife.
“I knew it way back then and I’m absolutely convinced of it today — you’re one of a kind, @MichelleObama. Happy Birthday,” tweeted Mr Obama.

In the photo Obama has his left hand around Michelle’s shoulders. The same hand is holding a local daily newspaper.
The picture was taken back in 1992 which was the first time Michelle visited Kenya.
In her new book titled Becoming, the former First Lady revealed how horrible that particular trip was with endless troubles and inconveniences right from the onset.
At the time, Michelle and Barack were not yet married and she admits that what she encountered made her angry at the man who would later become the President of the United States. Michelle turned 55 on January 17, 2019.
